Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (L&D) - Kearny County Hospital, Kansas

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Location: Lakin, Kansas

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Shift: 6 PM - 6 AM
• Weekends Required: Every other weekend
• Floating Required: Yes, if no patients, assist with skilled swing bed or medical patients

Requirements

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Facility Requirements

• First-time Travelers: Not accepted
• Locals: Accepted
• Block Scheduling: Allowed
• RTO (Request Time Off): All RTO must be submitted at the time of submission

Additional Information

• Documentation:

  • Proof of I-9 or Attestation
  • Government-issued photo ID required
  • Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
  • Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
• Health Documents:

  • Initial physical exam and annual updates
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the last year
  • Vaccination records for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • 9-panel drug screen within the last 12 months
  • COVID-19 vaccination and testing requirements
• Background Check: 7-year criminal check required

Compliance and Training

• Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (October 1 - March 31)
• COVID-19 Exemptions: Medical and religious exemptions available
• Competency Exams: Required as applicable by profession
