• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 (PCU / step-down / telemetry environment)
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Orientation: 36 hours

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or stepdown/acute care experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted with submission; license must be active before start)
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred (Travel RN / Travel Registered Nurse)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)
• RTO (Return to Office) required with submission; expect to work some holidays
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
• On-site drug screen required prior to start

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips, telemetry monitoring, and post-cardiac procedure patients (Telemetry RN duties)
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias, interpret arterial blood gases, and provide care for hemodialysis patients
• Provide care for patients with CVA, traumatic brain injury, and renal failure in a step-down setting
• Administer blood products and manage central lines, peripheral IVs, and PICC lines
• Perform wound care, manage surgical drains, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care as required
• Follow isolation precautions and use appropriate PPE; maintain infection control standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
