Job Details – Travel MRI Tech / MRI Technologist

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 – $1,860 (competitive travel pay)
• Assignment Duration: 16 weeks (August 24, 2026 – December 14, 2026)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift: 12-hour days (varied schedule including weekday and weekend call)
• Setting: Hospital and outpatient imaging lab — diagnostic imaging, patient care, and clinical support
• Equipment: GE 1.5T closed MRI machines (experience with GE MRI systems preferred)

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital MRI department or clinical diagnostic imaging setting
• Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Diagnostic Radiology
• Advanced MRI Registry (MR) required or must obtain within one year of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required prior to direct patient care
• Experience with GE 1.5T MRI systems and PACS workflow preferred
• IV start and contrast administration experience preferred
• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited program preferred

Key Responsibilities – MRI Technologist / MRI Tech

• Perform MRI exams according to established protocols and physician orders in hospital and outpatient settings
• Operate and troubleshoot GE 1.5T MRI equipment; ensure proper equipment setup and safety checks
• Start IVs and administer contrast agents in accordance with facility policies and safety procedures
• Ensure patient safety, screening for MRI contraindications, and provide clear patient instructions before, during, and after procedures
• Acquire high-quality diagnostic images and confirm image/data accuracy prior to release to PACS
• Follow infection control, MRI safety (including screening for implants and devices), and radiation safety protocols
• Document procedures, maintain patient records, and communicate findings to radiologists and clinical team as appropriate
• Contribute to training and education of new staff and MRI students; support team-based patient care in diagnostic imaging
