Job Description

• Position involves working in T5 MS TELE NEURO RN.
• No on-call requirement.

Requirements

• Licensure: RN Licensure in Maryland
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in Neuro Tele units
  • Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience
  • Feeding tube care and management
  • Blood product administration & central line care/management
  • Experience with heparin protocols and PCA
  • CVA and pre/post neurosurgery experience
  • Spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injury care experience
• Note: First-time travelers with strong neuro experience may be considered.

Additional Information

• Flu Vaccination: Required for all employees.
• Health Documents:

  • Annual physical exam
  • N95 Fit Test
  • TB testing (IGRA or PPD)
  • Vaccinations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap)
• Background Check: Required within 90 days of start.
• References: Two positive supervisory references required.

Competencies

• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
• Color Blind Testing
