Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting (inpatient psychiatric nursing, behavioral health)
• Active Ohio RN license or multistate (compact) RN license (must be attached to resume)
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be attached)
• CPI certification (must be attached to submission packet)
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred (clinical documentation skills)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect psychiatric patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Conduct mental health assessments, medication administration, and therapeutic interventions consistent with psychiatric nursing best practices
• Develop individualized nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary behavioral health staff
• Communicate changes in patient clinical conditions to physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and team members
• Participate in discharge planning and transition-of-care activities
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu and utilize de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques as needed
• Document care accurately in the EMR and adhere to facility policies and regulatory standards
