Work in a state-of-the-art electrophysiology (EP) lab within one of the nation's top heart and vascular centers.   • Shift: Day shifts, 4 x 10-hour days (07:00 - 17:30) with 2 days of late case coverage per week

  • Daily Caseload: Average 18 procedural cases per day

Required Qualifications (EP Lab / Radiology Technologist)

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical EP Lab or Cardiac Electrophysiology experience required
  • DC Radiology license in hand (pending license may be considered for later start date) — DC radiology jobs candidates preferred
  • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES or RCIS (Cardiac Electrophysiology credentials)
  • Certifications preferred: ARRT, Fluoro permit
  • Experience with Cerner charting and GE Cardiolab documentation
  • Familiarity with Philips/Siemens X-Ray systems and GE Micropacer
  • Ability to pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
  • Two supervisor references required

Key Responsibilities — Cardiac EP Technologist / EP Lab

  • Perform cardiac electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, and device implants/explants (pacemakers, ICDs/defibrillators, loop recorders)
  • Assist with advanced procedures: Cardioversion, Head-Up-Tilt testing, Watchman, Aveir, and laser/peripheral lead extraction support
  • Monitor and interpret EKGs, hemodynamic data, and sinus node rhythms in both inpatient and outpatient EP lab settings
  • Set up and operate specialized imaging and EP equipment (Philips/Siemens X-Ray, GE Micropacer, 3D mapping systems, ultrasound, laser lead tools)
  • Maintain sterile field, adhere to infection control, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols
  • Prep vascular access sites, perform groin closure assistance, and support peripheral/laser lead extraction procedures
  • Document procedures accurately in Cerner and GE Cardiolab systems; ensure timely charting and compliance
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiologists, EP physicians, nurses, and technologists) to optimize patient outcomes
