- Unit: 2 bed step-down unit (must float to Med Surge and regular ICU)
- Orientation: 4 to 6 weeks of hands-on training
Job Description
The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for prescribing and coordinating professional nursing care for assigned patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, directing, and evaluating total nursing care on a particular shift.
- Maintaining effective communication with other shifts for continuity of care.
- Participating in education, record maintenance, and policy upgrades.
- Following the ANA’s standards and additional specialty standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience:
- One year of medical-surgical nursing experience required.
- Telemetry and ICU experience required.
- One year of nursing experience related to a specialty area preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current New Hampshire RN license (or compact).
- ACLS Certification required; PALS Certification recommended.
- Rhythm Recognition or Basic Arrhythmia experience required.
- PCCN or CCRN Certification preferred.
- Skills:
- Ability to learn and adapt.
- Ability to direct others.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR), specifically Allscripts Paragon.

Additional Information
- Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (payout schedule includes $5,000 in the first check, $2,500 after 6 months, and $2,500 after 1 year).
