Job Description

The Chemo/Infusion RN provides professional nursing care in accordance with standards of practice as described by the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Nurses Association. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with daily operations of the clinic
• Patient care and education
• Triage of telephone calls
• Scheduling and billing assistance
• Obtaining prior authorization
• Maintaining medical records

The RN will utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years in outpatient oncology and infusion (required)
• Licensure: Current NH RN licensure (required)
• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required), BSN preferred
• Certifications:

  • ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certificate (required)
  • BLS (required)
  • IV Certification/Peripheral IV Insertion experience (strongly preferred)
  • ACLS, ONCC (preferred)
• Additional: Port/Catheter/Fistula experience (required)
