Position Details

• Specialty: Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
• Location: Kingwood, Texas
• Employment Type: Travel Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: Cath Lab at a medical center
• Beds: 4 Procedural Rooms, 14 Recovery Bays
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 3-4 staff per procedural room
  • Night Shift: On-call 4-person team
• Patient Ratios: 3-4 staff per patient procedure
• Equipment Used:

  • CATH Lab
  • Electrophysiology (EP)
  • Neuro Interventional Radiology (Neuro IR) Lab
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): MAC Lab

Required Skills & Experience

• Certifications:

  • ARRT Certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in Radiologic Technology specialty
• Technical Skills:

  • Current experience with CATH Lab, Interventional Radiology (IR), Peripherals, Neuro IR
  • Electrophysiology (EP) experience is a plus
• Preferred Skills:

  • IR, EP, Neuro IR, Cardiac Intervention

Typical Procedures Performed

• Cardiac catheterization (Right & Left)
• Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
• Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)
• Thrombolytic infusion
• Pacemaker and AICD implants
• Stents, IVUS, AngioJet, Atherectomy
• Angiography, Bi-Ventricular implants
• EP studies
• IVC filters, Coilings
• Impella insertions
• Carotid stenting and angiograms
• Renal angiograms
• All Interventional Radiology procedures

Work Schedule & Policies

• Call Requirement: 2 nights per week and every other weekend
• Dress Code:

  • Scrubs: Any color (provided by facility)
  • Shoes: Must be black, white, or gray
