Location: Savannah, Georgia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) travel assignment. The unit specializes in neonatal and pediatric critical care with advanced respiratory support equipment.
Unit & Work Details
- Unit: NICU (Neonatal)
- Shift: 7 PM, 12-hour shifts
- Equipment:
- Servo U & Drager VN500 ventilators
- F&P Bubble CPAP
- High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV)
- High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV)
- Vaportherm
- Heliox therapy (invasive and non-invasive)
- Documentation System: Epic
- Dress Code: Hunter Green uniform
Required Experience & Skills
- Specialty Experience: Minimum 1+ year Neonatal ICU or PICU Critical Care experience (highest requirement)
- Advanced Skills:
- Independently admit and manage ventilated pediatric patients using Servo-U ventilator
- Setup and manage heliox therapy (both invasive and non-invasive)
- Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation including BiPAP and CPAP
- Neonatal skills including Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide therapy, and high-frequency ventilation
- Certifications Required:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Licenses: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) License/Certification
