Registered Nurse (RN) - Banner Desert Medical Center, Mesa, Arizona

Job Requirements

• Location Restriction: Candidates with an Arizona home address on their driver’s license will not be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of 24 months current ICU experience required.
• Certifications:

  • Must have American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certifications active at time of submission.
  • Required certifications include ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA).
• Licensing:

  • Active Arizona RN license required (verification must be less than 30 days old).
  • No license hits allowed.
  • Compact license allowed.
• Flu Vaccination: Required; declinations can be applied for (vaccination status must be included in submission notes).
• Return to Office (RTO):

  • RTO requests will not be approved within the first week of assignment or during holidays.
  • RTO cannot exceed 7 days.
• Background Checks: Must meet Banner’s specific background compliance requirements.
• Travel Experience: Preferred but not mandatory.

Submission Requirements

• Completed Banner Cover Page with all requested information.
• Resume detailing all facilities worked at, including facility size, bed count, trauma level, and units.
• Skills checklist specific to nursing discipline (must be less than one year old).
• Active license verification (less than 30 days old).
• Current certifications included.
• Flu vaccination status noted.
• Copy of valid driver’s license.
• Candidates must be pre-closed and ready to accept the assignment.
• All departments and shifts the candidate is willing to work must be clearly indicated.

Additional Notes

• Learning modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment.
• Non-billable hours are adjusted to 16 hours per assignment.
• Assignments may be canceled with 7 days written notice without penalty.
