Travel RN – Cardiac Cath Lab
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab RN
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend Call: 1-2 weekends call during a 6-week schedule
- Call Requirements:
- Weekday call from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM next day
- Weekend call from 7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM Monday
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Kentucky RN License
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years as a Cath Lab RN
- Float Requirements: Float between two labs (RN and Tech)
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab, 3rd Floor
- Number of Beds: 6 procedure rooms
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 (procedure room, one case at a time)
- Equipment: GE X-ray systems
- EMR Systems: McKesson Cardiology and Cerner
- Must-Have Skills:
- 2+ years Cath Lab RN experience
- Experience with McKesson and Cerner EMRs
- Ability to rotate coverage between UofL Cath Lab locations
- Preferred Skills:
- Structural heart experience
- Scrubbing or monitoring experience
Personality & Work Environment
- Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills
- Clear and concise communication
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Dress Code
- Scrubs provided by hospital
- No block scheduling
Additional Information
- Unit closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day
- Online training available for candidates without prior McKesson, Census, or Cerner experience (though McKesson & Cerner experience is preferred)
- Return to Office (RTO) considered on a case-by-case basis
