Registered Nurse (RN) - Banner Desert Medical Center, Mesa, Arizona
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Location Restriction: Candidates with an Arizona home address on their driver’s license will not be considered.
- Experience: Minimum 24 months of current ICU experience required.
- Certifications:
- Must have American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certifications active at time of submission.
- Required certifications include ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and NIHSS.
- Licensing:
- Active Arizona RN license required at time of submission.
- License verification must be less than 30 days old.
- No license hits allowed.
- Compact license allowed but must be active.
- Flu Vaccination: Required or Banner declination form must be submitted. Vaccination status must be noted in submission.
- Return to Office (RTO):
- RTO requests must be less than 7 days.
- RTO will not be approved during the first week of assignment or on holidays.
- Background Checks: Banner has very specific background requirements that must be adhered to and attested.
- Travel Experience: Preferred but not mandatory.
Submission Requirements
- Completed Banner Cover Page with all requested information.
- Resume detailing all facilities, facility size, bed count, trauma level, and units worked.
- Skills checklist specific to the discipline, dated within the last year.
- Active driver’s license.
- Certifications and license documentation included and current.

Additional Notes
- Learning modules must be completed prior to the start of the assignment.
- Non-billable hours are adjusted to 16 hours per assignment.
- Assignments may be canceled with 7 days written notice without penalty.
- Candidates must be pre-closed and ready to accept the assignment upon submission.
- All shifts, departments, and facilities the candidate is willing to work in must be clearly listed in the submission.
