• Unit Information:

  • Observation Unit / Inpatient
  • 8 bed unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
  • 2 RNs on each shift

Shift Requirements

• Shift Type: 12-hour nights (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• On Call/Call Back Requirements: None

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • Wisconsin RN License
  • BLS
  • ACLS (must take an EKG exam during compliance)
• Minimum Experience:

  • 3 years of nursing experience
  • 1 travel assignment required
• Charting Experience: EPIC required

Patient Care Focus

• Common conditions treated include:

  • Anemia
  • Cellulitis
  • COPD
  • CHF
  • Dehydration
  • Pre-op
  • Urology and GI issues
• Drips managed include Cardiac Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin
• Average patient stay: up to 48 hours
• High volume of admissions and discharges
