Job Description
Seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Echo Sonographer to support pediatric cardiac clinics at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. Responsibilities include performing Fetal Echo, Adult Congenital ECHOs, and direct bedside scanning throughout the pediatric hospital.
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Credentials & Compliance
Licensure & Certification
- Valid permanent professional license (no temporary licenses accepted).
- RDCS and/or RCS certification required.
- Highest level of education verification (international equivalency required if applicable).
Health & Immunizations
- COVID-19 vaccine proof or approved exemption (preferred, not required).
- Positive MMR titers within last 15 years; booster protocol applies if low titer.
- Positive Varicella titers within last 15 years; booster protocol applies if low titer.
- Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
- Influenza vaccine proof (Oct-Mar) or approved medical/religious exemption.
- Tdap vaccination within past 10 years (no declinations accepted).
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA test within last 6 months; if positive, clear chest x-ray and TB questionnaire required.
- Annual negative PPD if 2-step not done within past year (optional).
- Fit test completed within 1 year prior to start (specific approved mask types).
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start confirming ability to work without restrictions.
Background & Employment Verification
- Ohio fingerprinting and criminal background checks compliant with FCRA requirements (different requirements depending on length of Ohio residency).
- UHS Criminal Background Check within 6 months prior to start.
- UHS Social Security Trace and National Database Criminal Background Check (if applicable).
- UHS OIG Search, SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC clearance within 6 months prior to start.
- Employment verification for last 5 years through third-party verification (no attestations).
Testing & Competency
- UHS Competency Exam with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start.
- UHS Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics) completed within 1 year prior to start.
- UHS Skills Checklist (clinical skill-specific) completed within 1 year prior to start (initial hire only).
- UHS Drug Screen within 60 days prior to start (10-panel, lab report required; no instant tests).
Documentation & Other Requirements
- UHS I-9 attestation confirming eligibility to work.
- Resume including education and work history, 2 professional references within last 2 years, and completed job application.
- UHS Badge photo (shoulders up, plain background, JPEG).
- Non-expired photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Completion certificate for UHS Safety and Compliance Training modules prior to clearance.
Summary
