Travel RN Opportunity - Asheville, North Carolina

Position Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Employment Type: Travel
Location: Asheville, NC
Unit: Step Down and Medical-Surgical
Unit Beds: 23 Step Down, 16 Med Surg
Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 4 PCTs
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, 4 PCTs
Patient Ratios:
- Step Down: 1:3-4
- Med Surg: 1:4-6
Typical Procedures:
- Trach care
- Chest tubes
- Wound dressing changes
Equipment Used:
- Lifts
- Chest tubes
- Cardiac drips
- Stable vented patients
- Trachs
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner

Requirements

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience
- Experience working with trachs (required)
- Previous experience with Cerner (preferred)
Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Certification
Licenses:
- Registered Nurse License

Work Environment

Floating Areas: Other med surg and progressive care units
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
Personality Fit: Flexibility and high level of clinical competence
Schedule: Approximately 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) in a 6-week period
