Travel RN Opportunity – ICU/IMC Float

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Overview

  • Specialty: ICU / IMC Float (Intensive Care Unit / Intermediate Care Unit)
  • Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: Rotating weekends
  • Unit: 2nd Floor, Trauma Level 3 facility
  • Patient Population: Adult / Geriatric
  • Patient Ratios:
    • ICU: 1:2
    • IMC: 1:3 or 1:4

Unit Details

  • Number of Beds:
    • ICU: 16 beds
    • IMC (including ICU Overflow): 30 beds
  • Float Requirements: Float between ICU main, ICU Overflow, and IMC (stepdown unit)
  • Equipment: Baxter Infusion Pumps, GE Monitoring
  • EHR System: Medhost

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
    • At least 1 year travel experience preferred
    • ICU / Critical Care experience required
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Required)
    • BLS (Required)
    • NIH Certification (Required)
    • Preferred: TNCC, PALS
  • Licenses: Current state Registered Nurse license
  • Skills:
    • Must have ICU / Critical Care skills
    • Preferred experience with mixed ICU, Cardiac/CVICU
  • Common Diagnoses/Treatments: CABG, TAVR, STEMI, NSTEMI, Stroke, Trauma, cardiovascular, neuro, medical-surgical ICU/IMC

Additional Information

  • No block schedule requests; 48-hour shifts can be considered but are not guaranteed
  • Scrub color: Black scrubs required
  • Facility is a Joint Commission Accredited community hospital and regional referral center with 171 beds
  • Location offers outdoor recreation with mountain and lake scenery, near major cities such as Las Vegas, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Los Angeles, and San Diego
