Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Assignment

Location: Highlands, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility & Unit Overview

• Rehab Services unit within a hospital setting
• 24 acute/swing beds, 40 nursing home beds, 10 skilled beds within nursing home
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Rehab department includes PT/OT/SLP staff
• Treatment provided in patient rooms, hallways, outdoor areas, and rehab gym
• Documentation systems: Cerner and NetHealth
• Floating between acute/swing, nursing home, and outpatient services as needed

Schedule & Work Hours

• 40 hours per week
• Schedule to be reviewed during interview with rehab manager

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience preferred in a medical setting
• Must have experience in hospital and/or nursing home settings
• Required specialty experience: 2 years (per certifications info, but preference stated for 3 years) — Use 3 years as the requirement
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications & Licenses

• CPR/BLS certification required
• North Carolina Physical Therapy license required

Job Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations
• Establish plan of care
• Assist with rounds and care conferences as indicated
• Frequent communication with rehab team regarding patient progress, equipment needs, and discharge planning
