CVICU Nurse Opportunity

Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long Term Contract (13 weeks)

Shift Details

• Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shift)
• Hours per week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: As needed within skillset (MICU, SICU, other medical units with max of 4 patients)

Unit and Patient Information

• Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Number of Beds: 8
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:1, 2:1, or 3:1 depending on patient acuity
• Charting System: Cerner

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Common Diagnoses and Treatments

• Open heart surgery
• Neurosurgery
• Vascular surgery
• Trauma
• Overflow medical patients

Special Procedures and Skills

• Chest tube management
• Swan-Ganz catheter care
• Temporary pacemakers
• Cordis catheters
• Cardiac continuous output monitoring
• JP drains
• Central lines and arterial lines
• Tracheostomy care
• PEG and G/J tube care

Additional Information

• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required
