Description

Travel RN Opportunity – Telemetry Unit

Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Facility & Unit Overview

Unit: Telemetry
Number of Beds: 36
Patient Ratios:
- Typical: 4:1 with cath recovery
- Max ratio: 6:1 (may stretch to 7:1)
Staffing:
- PCTs available on day and night shifts
- Unit Clerks on day shift
Equipment: Remote telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: Every other weekend required
Floating Policy: Agency staff float first; may float to Ortho/Med-Surg units
Patient Experience Goal: Strive for 75% patient satisfaction rate

Required Skills & Certifications

Must Have: Telemetry experience
Advanced Skills: Knowledge of chest tubes, Dysthymia training
Procedures on Unit:
- Chest tube insertions
- Bedside Paracentesis
- Thoracentesis
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Certification
Licenses: Valid Registered Nurse License

Dress Code

Any scrubs except camouflage

Contract Length

13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
