Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. Ensures quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with unit standards. Demonstrates professionalism, respect, and effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

Licenses & Certifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS Certification via AHA
• ACLS Certification via AHA
• TNCC Certification

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in the specialty

Skills

• Current knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served
• Sensitivity to patients’ rights in care delivery
• Clear and concise communication appropriate to patient developmental age

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
• Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment
• Subject to stressful professional relationships and variable working hours due to emergencies or schedule changes
• Must handle emergency/crisis situations
• Requires prolonged standing and walking, heavy physical effort for patient positioning and equipment handling
• Requires reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
• Normal or correctable hearing and vision, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination required
