Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Travel Position

Location: Hudson, Florida

Facility & Unit Overview

• Level II Trauma Center
• Bed Capacity: 309
• Cardiac Cath Lab Unit:

  • 5 procedure suites
  • Staff: 1 Director, 1 CNC, ~4.6 RNs, 5 techs
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: Full staff coverage
  • Night Shift: On-call crew for emergent cases only
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1 patient to 3-4 staff members
• Equipment: Shockwave, Laser, CSI, Penumbra, IABP, Impella, Rotoblator
• EMR Systems: MacLab & Meditech

Job Requirements & Skills

• Must have experience in:

  • Cardiac Cath
  • CRM (Cardiac Rhythm Management)
  • PV (Peripheral Vascular)
• Preferred skills:

  • EP/ABL (Electrophysiology/Ablation)
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Cath Lab Tech Certification

Typical Procedures

• Diagnostic and Interventional Cath
• Peripheral Vascular procedures
• Pacers, ICDs
• Watchman device implantation
• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
• EP/ABL procedures

Schedule & Work Expectations

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Scheduled according to facility policy
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital staff

• Scrub color for RNs: Navy Blue
• Competitive market; unit offers exposure to advanced technology and experienced staff
• Night shift coverage is on-call only for emergencies
