Location: Show Low, Arizona

Job Details

• Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Float RN
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Three 12-hour shifts per week (36-hour guarantee, no cancellations)
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • PALS preferred

Work Environment & Responsibilities

• Float between PCU unit and two other Med/Tele units, all with telemetry patients
• May also float to ER, Labor & Delivery, Behavioral Health, and ICU (for MedSurg overflow patients)
• Nurse to patient ratios:

  • 1:5 during the day
  • 1:6 at night
  • 1:4 for pediatrics (based on acuity)
• Nurse managers conduct rounds but do not provide direct patient care
• Support staff includes telemetry techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs
• Hospitalist coverage 24/7
• Respiratory therapists available 24/7
• Pharmacy available 24/7
• No IV team on site

• Location offers access to outdoor activities and proximity to Flagstaff and Phoenix

This position offers a dynamic float role in a regional hospital setting with a variety of patient care areas and strong support staff.
