Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Job Summary

Seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join the Inpatient Rehab Therapy Department at a large hospital with 422 beds. The unit has 24 beds and 17 staff members, primarily working day shifts with a patient ratio of about 4 patients per therapist. The role involves typical occupational therapy treatments for rehab patients using standard inpatient rehab gym equipment.

Requirements

• Licensure: Must hold a valid Occupational Therapist license in Florida
• Certifications: BLS, OTR Certification required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Occupational Therapy (higher experience requirement applies)
• Preferred Experience:

  • Inpatient Rehab experience strongly preferred
  • Acute care experience is a plus
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Work Schedule & Environment

• Primarily day shifts
• Rotation of one weekend per month, with compensatory days off before and after the weekend worked
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
• Team environment with a very experienced and collaborative staff
• Good relationships with nursing staff
