Travel RRT Opportunity - Fort Worth, TX

Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

  • Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
  • Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in hospital respiratory therapy
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
  • Required Skills:
    • ICU experience
    • NICU experience preferred
    • Emergency Department (ED) experience
    • Ability to draw arterial blood gases (ABGs)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with Servo I ventilator
    • Experience with I-Stat devices

Certifications & Licenses

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) License/Certification

Unit & Procedures

  • Unit: Respiratory Therapy
  • Documentation System: Meditech
  • Procedures performed:
    • ABGs
    • Assisting with intubation
    • Nebulizer treatments
    • Metaneb therapy
    • Intermittent Positive Pressure Breathing (IPPB)
    • Chest Physiotherapy (CPT)
  • Patient Population: All age ranges, with emphasis on NICU patients

Additional Requirements & Guidelines

  • Dress Code:

    • Black scrubs required (must be purchased)
    • Clean, healthy nails (no artificial nails, gels, etc.)
    • Neat and clean hair; shoulder-length or longer hair must be pulled back in the lab
    • Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed
    • Tattoos should be covered when possible
    • Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings)
  • Workplace Policies:

    • Company-wide attendance policy applies
    • Floating guidelines in effect

This travel RRT position in Fort Worth requires a minimum of 2 years hospital experience with ICU and ED exposure, NICU experience preferred.
