Description

Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology - Dallas, Texas

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Location: Dallas, Texas (within 90 miles local rate area)


Key Job Requirements

  • Every Other Weekend Required

Required Documentation & Compliance

Identification & Verification

  • I9 or Attestation required
  • Valid government-issued Photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport) matching all documentation
  • E-Verify or Attestation required

Background Checks (within 30 days of start)

  • 7-year County Criminal Background Search for all locations lived/worked
  • Sex Offender Search
  • State Police Investigation for Behavioral Health (if applicable)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check

Certifications (verify specific unit requirements)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for MS/Tele, ER, L&D, GI, Critical Care ICU/IMC, OR, PACU, PCU, IR & Cath Lab
  • BLS (Basic Life Support): Required except for Students (SPTs)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for ER, PACU, GI Lab
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required for L&D and NICU
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Required for ER; ATCN acceptable in lieu of TNCC for ER; TCAR or TNCC required for Adult Critical Care (ICU) units (except Southlake)
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Required for L&D
  • ENPC: Acceptable in lieu of PALS for ER
  • NIH Stroke Certification: Required for ER, CC, Med Surg, IR, IMC, PCU (valid for 2 years, may be obtained within 30 days of hire onsite)
  • T-CAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation): Required for Adult Critical Care (ICU) units (except Southlake)
  • Pass/Fail Testing: Required for all RNs and Cath Lab Techs (Medication Test/Pharmacology and Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exams) with only two attempts allowed

Competency Exams

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Must score ≥80%, two attempts allowed, completed within 30 days of start
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Required for Cath Lab Techs and specific nursing units; two attempts allowed, completed within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Other competency exams as applicable by profession/unit

Facility-Specific Requirements

  • Photo for Badge (passport style, head and shoulders, clear background)
  • Signed Job Description prior to start
  • Completion of NESF Form prior to start
  • Hepatitis B Declination Form if no vaccine series and positive titer on file
  • Flu Vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • Medication and EKG Study Guides provided for competency exams

Health Requirements

  • Physical Exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit Mask Test completed onsite during orientation, updated annually (can be done prior to start)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required for all travelers
  • Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months of start; annual updates required
  • TB Questionnaire annually after positive TB result
  • Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccine series and positive titer or signed declination form required
  • Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (rapid screens not accepted)
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption required annually
  • COVID-19 Vaccine preferred but not required

Additional Requirements

  • Two professional references within 3 years of hire required

This position requires compliance with all listed certifications, background checks, health documents, and competency exams to ensure readiness and eligibility for assignment.
