Travel RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
Weekend Call: 1-2 weekends during a 6-week schedule
Call Requirements:
- Weekday call from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM next day
- Weekend call from 7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM Monday
Float Requirement: EP Lab coverage
Number of Openings: 1

Requirements

Licensure: Kentucky RN License
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Experience: Minimum 2+ years as a Cath Lab RN
Preferred Experience:
- Structure heart procedures
- Scrubbing or monitoring experience
Skills:
- Detail oriented
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Clear and concise communication
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
EMR Experience: McKesson Cardiology and Cerner preferred (online training available if needed)

Unit Information

Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab, 3rd Floor
Beds: 6 procedure rooms
Patient Ratio: 1:1 (one case at a time)
Equipment: GE X-ray systems
Scheduling: No block scheduling
Unit closed on Christmas and New Year's Day

Accredited Chest Pain Center providing 24/7 STEMI heart attack care
Known for pioneering medical firsts in cardiac and transplant surgery
Multidisciplinary team environment
Hospital provides scrubs

Additional Notes

Rotation required to cover University of Louisville Cath Lab
Return to Office (RTO) considered on a case-by-case basis
