Job Description
- Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a Level III NICU setting.
- Practice consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Manage psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Participate in a family-centered care environment supporting women and families during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal periods.
- Work within a hospital offering comprehensive maternal and neonatal services including Level IV maternal care and Level II neonatal care.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Current RN license in Texas or compact license.
- Current BLS certification (AHA only).
- Current STABLE certification (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants).
- Current NRP certification (AHA only).
- Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a Perinatal Setting preferred.
- Completion of New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days if newly hired.
- Precepted onboarding with competency validations required.
- Completion of annual competency verifications.
Additional Notes
- Candidates should already have Level III NICU experience and be actively working in Level III NICUs.
- No explicit mention of prior travel experience required.
