Travel PACU Nurse Opportunity

Location: Massachusetts (specific city not provided)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2+ years recent PACU experience
• Experience with patients on drips and ventilators
• Current certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers accepted)
• Candidates who have worked for this hospital system in any capacity within the last 6 months are not eligible

Work Schedule & Expectations

• 12-hour shifts
• Weekends and holidays required (no holiday time off)
• Call requirements:

  • One 24-hour weekend shift per month
  • Three night calls per month (11 PM - 7 AM)
  • 30-minute response time when on call
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly (does not include on-call time)

Onboarding & Testing

• Must pass ECG/Telemetry and Medications tests during onboarding (one attempt only)
• Tests administered remotely via Zoom prior to assignment
• Passing score: 85% (no retakes allowed)
• Study guide provided to prepare for tests

Additional Notes

• Biweekly orientation sessions available
• No general time off requests exceeding one week will be approved
• All return-to-office (RTO) requests must be submitted at time of application

This position requires strong PACU skills, flexibility with shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and readiness to respond quickly when on call.
