Job Overview

Job Description
- Support procedures in the Cath lab including:
- Coronary
- PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention)
- Structural heart procedures
- Devices
- Electrophysiology (EP)
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Experience with Epic charting system (required)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background Checks:
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check upon hire
- HHS/OIG check upon hire
- Education verification (highest level)
- Fingerprinting (for New Mexico placements only)
- Licenses & Verifications:
- State license primary source verification
- NURSYS verification for RN
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Immunizations or titers for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Competency Exams:
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (80% passing score or meet Angoff score)
- Color blind testing (online)
- Core competency exams as applicable
- Other Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- I9 verification
- E-Verify compliance
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement (HIPAA compliance)
- Skills checklist (unit specific, annually)
- Work history verification (7 years)
Additional Notes
- Some certifications and competencies may be required as applicable (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, CPI, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification).
- Documentation must be current and meet facility standards.
- Candidates must be prepared to comply with all health and safety protocols.
This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with Cath lab experience who is comfortable working 4 ten-hour shifts per week and has proficiency with Epic charting. The role requires adherence to comprehensive credentialing, health, and compliance standards.
