Job Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (10-hour days)
- Rotation Schedule: Yes
- Weekend Requirements: Work every 5th weekend
- Call Requirements: One night per week plus 5th weekend call
- Holiday Requirements: Yes, distributed among staff
- Floating: Not required
- Charge Nurse: Not required
Experience & Certifications
- Minimum Clinical Experience: 2 years
- Minimum Specialty Experience (Interventional Radiology): 1 year (ideally with neuro IR experience)
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
- Certification Preferred: IR Tech certification preferred but not required
- Recent EPIC experience: Required
Orientation & Training
- Orientation Length: 1 week
- Skills Checklist: Must be dated within last 12 months
- References: 2 references dated within last 12 months
Patient Population & Care
- Patient Diagnoses: Liver failure, AVM, Multiple Myeloma
- Age Range: 18-100 years
- Patient Care Responsibilities:
- Start IVs
- Monitor sedated patients
- Administer sedation medications
- Monitor EKG
- Administer blood products
- Manage drips including Integrelin, TPA, Propofol, Heparin, Fentanyl, Versed
Equipment & Support
- Special Equipment: ACT, EKOS catheter/setup, EVD/ICP monitoring, Lumbar Drains
- Respiratory Support: Available 24/7
- Anesthesia Support: Available 24/7
- Ventilator Management: Respiratory Therapist (RT) manages ventilators
Staffing & Ancillary Support
- Ancillary Staff: CNA/PCT/Unit Secretary available per shift
- Advanced Practice Providers: Not specified
Dress Code & Policies
- Scrubs: Hospital issued
- Shoes, Jewelry, Hair/Beard, Nail Polish: Per hospital policy

- Prior travel experience required
- COVID vaccination not required

This position is ideal for an experienced Interventional Radiology Tech with recent EPIC experience, comfortable with call and weekend rotations, and able to work in a Level 1 trauma teaching hospital environment.
