Radiologic Technologist (Technician) - Temporary Position

Location: Bay City, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform specialized radiographic procedures under the supervision of a radiologist/physician.
• Conduct general diagnostic radiographic procedures as needed.
• Follow and verify referring provider’s orders for diagnostic/interventional special procedures.
• Use independent judgment and apply established methodologies and policies.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and treatments.
• Produce high-quality images and prepare them with relevant patient information for timely interpretation.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements; troubleshoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
• Maintain a safe environment adhering to radiation safety policies.
• Uphold ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities, including confidentiality.
• Ensure efficient workflow in the department and maintain adequate inventory of supplies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Experience: Cath lab experience required.
• Certifications:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist required.
• Education: Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program required.
• Experience: Minimum one year of related job experience required.
• Licensing:

  • Michigan license verification required for nurses (if applicable).
  • Provide LARA and Nursys verification if applicable.
• Other:

  • References not required.
  • Skills checklist within one year required for RN specialties; preferred but not required for other professions.
  • Physical copies of certifications only required if listed above.
  • Full-time employees of the facility are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.
