Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (PICU)
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Position Details
- Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN
- Start Date: January 12
- Shift Options:
- 3x12-hour shifts or 4x12-hour shifts
- Rotating shifts within the contract, but no rotation within a 4-week schedule
- Patient Ratios: 1:2
- Weekend Requirement:
- 4 weekend shifts per schedule for day shift
- 4-5 weekend shifts for night shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights count as weekends)
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: Yes, float to NICU required; may assist in Pediatric ED with limited duties (IVs, meds) but no full ED assignments
- Block Schedule Accommodation: Not guaranteed
- Locals: No locals within 75-mile radius accepted
- Pending License: Accepted with approval
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Absences greater than 7 days require approval
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week contracted; facility may call off up to 3 times during a 13-week assignment
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Experience & Certifications
- Required Experience: Minimum 1.5 years
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Required Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- New Mexico RN License
- Special Skills Required:
- Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) & ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) procedures
- Ventilator management
- Working knowledge of inotropic drips
