Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery RN (Contract)

Contract Length:

• 13 weeks

Shift Details:

• 12-hour rotating shifts
• Every other weekend rotation
• Shift times: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM or 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Rotations occur in blocks every 2-4 weeks

Guaranteed Hours:

• 72 hours biweekly (does not include on-call time)

Experience & Skills Required:

• 3-5+ years of experience preferred
• Comfortability in the Operating Room (OR) preferred
• EPIC electronic health record system experience required
• BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required
• Flu vaccine required during onboarding (no declinations accepted)

Additional Information:

• Biweekly orientation provided
• Must have been separated from the hospital system for 6+ months to be considered for permanent roles

Clinical Scope:

• Full scope of perinatal care including:

  • Prenatal evaluation of mother and fetus
  • Intrapartum care for labor and birth
  • Intraoperative and recovery care for operative deliveries
  • Postpartum care
  • Maternal/newborn care as a couplet dyad for well babies
  • Special care for premature and high-acuity newborns requiring higher level care
