Job Opportunity: SICU Travel Nurse
Specialty: SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit & Patient Population
- 8-bed SICU unit
- Cares for a variety of surgical patients including transplant, hepatobiliary, and general surgery
- Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3
Schedule & Shifts
- 36 hours per week, day/night rotating shifts
- Every other weekend required
- All shifts are 12 hours
- Orientation held weekly on Mondays (except holidays)
Experience & Certifications Required
- 2-3 years of related SICU experience
- Trauma/Level 1 trauma experience required
- CPR, AHA ACLS certification required
- Epic electronic health record experience required
Additional Requirements & Notes
- No local travelers accepted (cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility)
- Travelers who have worked as permanent staff at this health system within the last 6 months are not eligible
- Contract guarantees 72 hours biweekly (does not include on-call time)
- Start date: ASAP, with 4 weeks lead time for compliance
- All requests for time off must be submitted at time of application
- Parking may cost up to $43/day
