MRI Technologist - Travel Contract

Job Description

• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly (does not include on-call time)
• 8-hour rotating shifts (days and evenings)
• Fast-paced environment requiring ability to work independently
• Must have MRI experience and specific experience with GE MRI equipment

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform all technical and mechanical aspects of MRI, including patient positioning and adjusting technical factors based on patient age, condition, and communication ability
• Proficient in venipuncture
• Assess and recognize normal and abnormal anatomy/pathology, tailoring exams as needed
• Review exams with Radiologist as necessary, providing technical and professional input
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and function effectively under stress
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, physicians, and medical office personnel
• Perform Point of Care Testing and maintain QA on Point of Care equipment
• Understand and verify appropriate clinical history for each MRI exam

Experience / Skills Required

• Ability to work quickly and with minimal supervision
• Strong concentration and prioritization skills in a multitasking environment

Education & Certification

• Graduate of an accredited MRI program and/or current R.T. (MRI) (ARRT) registration
• Required: R.T. (MR) (ARRT) MRI registration and CPR certification

Additional Requirements

• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will be accepted
• Candidates who have worked at any affiliated facility within the last year will not be considered
• Must be available for interview and provide availability upfront
• All return-to-office requests must be submitted at time of application
