Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Specialist

Location: Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Perform screening mammograms and bone density exams.
  • Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
  • Must provide copies of licenses, certifications, proof of continuing education, and mammogram statistics.

Required Certifications and Licenses

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (front and back of card).
  • BLS (Basic Life Support), preferably from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), preferably from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (front and back of card).
  • National Tech Certification as applicable.
  • State License verification (primary source online verification).
  • NIH Stroke Certification (must be updated annually).
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification required for ER & Behavioral Health units.

Required Background Checks and Documents

  • Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID).
  • Emergency Contact Form (required prior to start).
  • Background Check within 30 days of start, including:
    • SS Trace and County searches for last 7 years of locations lived/worked/schooled.
    • Nationwide and Sex Offender searches.
    • Pennsylvania Statewide Patch Certificate (PA Patch search).
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start.
  • HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start.
  • Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Fingerprinting (specific process and follow-up required).

Health and Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start.
  • Negative TB test (PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or Tspot) within 1 year of start; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year of start.
  • Annual TB questionnaire for past positive TB.
  • Immunizations or positive titers within 10 years for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer within 10 years, or signed declination.
  • Negative 15-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1); declinations accepted.

Competency Requirements

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% score or meet/exceed Angoff score).
  • Competency Exam with minimum passing score of 80% or higher if Angoff score is higher.

Facility-Specific Requirements (Must be completed prior to start)

  • Orientation Checklist
  • Pandemic Attestation
  • Code of Conduct
  • Confidentiality Agreement
  • Disclosure Statement (must include date)
  • Employment Handbook review
  • Job Description acknowledgment (signed)
  • Various training and assessments for RN/LPN including:
    • Assessment of Patient Policy
    • Interdisciplinary Plans of Care
    • Skin Integrity Training
    • Mobility Training
    • Catheter Training
  • Religious and Medical COVID Exemptions (if applicable) must be properly documented.

References and Skills

  • 2 Professional References required for Travel, Allied, Per Diem Acute Care roles.
  • 1 Professional Reference required for Per Diem Non-Acute Care roles.
  • Skills Checklist required annually.

This position requires thorough documentation and compliance with state and facility-specific regulations prior to start.
