Travel RN Opportunity – Rehabilitation Unit

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri

• Inpatient rehabilitation hospital specializing in recovery from strokes, brain/spinal cord injuries, amputations, trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions.
• Features include:

  • Brain injury unit with monitored rooms and specialized equipment
  • Dedicated stroke care unit
  • High-tech therapy gymnasiums
  • Apartment for practicing daily living tasks
  • Private, family-friendly rooms with sleeper chairs
  • Pet therapy, recreational programs, outdoor healing garden, and walking trail
• Patient population: Adults (18+ years)
• Number of beds: 81 private rooms
• Patient ratios: Approx. 1:6-7 during day, 1:8 at night; each nurse has a dedicated tech
• Electronic Health Record system: Epic

Position Details

• Role: RN – Rehab (Med/Surg)
• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float: Within 5 units (Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury)
• Required Certifications:

  • RN license in Missouri
  • BLS (CPR) Certification
• Experience: Minimum 2 years
• Preferred: Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN)
• Personality Fit: Flexible, collaborative, positive demeanor

Job Requirements & Policies

• Influenza Vaccination Policy:

  • Must comply with facility’s flu vaccination or approved exemption.
  • Masking required from November 1 through March 31 for those exempt.
• Scrub Color: Black scrubs
• Identification: Must wear agency-provided ID badge
• Reporting Time: 6:30 PM
• Parking: Garage (upper level or back two rows of lower level)
