Travel RN - Emergency Room (ER)

Location: El Paso, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Target Start Date: 04/26/2024

Unit Information

Unit: Emergency Department (ED)
Number of Beds: 41
Number of Staff: 90
Staff Composition:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 trauma nurse, 1 unit clerk, 9 RNs, mixed paramedic/tech/RN mid shifts
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 trauma nurse, 1 unit clerk, 9 RNs, mixed paramedic/tech/RN mid shifts
Patient Ratios:
- Core: 1 RN to 4 patients
- Fast Track: 1 RN to 6 patients
EMR System: Meditech
Call Requirements: No call
Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Required Certifications & Licenses

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) - must be completed within 6 weeks of onboarding
Registered Nurse License (Texas or Compact RN preferred)

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Room nursing specialty

Additional Information

Special equipment training provided during orientation
Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs, closed-toed shoes (no crocs with holes)
