Travel RN Opportunity - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Location: Portland, Maine
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Position Details

Shift: Varied shift times between 07:00 - 23:30 (examples: 07:00-19:30, 08:00-20:30, 09:00-21:30, 11:00-23:30)
Hours: 36 hours guaranteed weekly
Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends, 36 hours
Call Requirement: Yes
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Department: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Number of Beds: 21 bays
Patient Ratios: 1:2 or 1:3
Type of Patients: Post Anesthesia patients, critical care
Equipment Used: Abbott Pumps, CAD pumps, Venodynes, Philips monitors
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Qualifications & Experience

Required Experience: Minimum 5 years
Must Have Skills:
- Post Anesthesia care experience
- Phase 2 recovery experience
- ICU background
Preferred Skills:
- EPIC experience
- Level 1 trauma center experience

Certifications Required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)

Additional Information

Float Requirements: Yes, may be required to float to other units
Dress Code: Scrubs (green or blue provided, personal scrubs allowed)
Personality Fit: Healthcare professional attire required

This position offers a varied schedule with night and day/evening shifts, minimal call and weekend requirements, and a focus on critical care in a busy PACU environment.
