Occupational Therapist (OT) - Rehab Services

Location: Macomb, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Position covers a broad range of patient care settings including inpatient, swing-bed, assisted living, and outpatient.
• Patient population includes general medical cases, CVA, hip fractures, post-op THR/TKR, adhesive capsulitis, tendon injuries, upper extremity fractures, carpal/cubital tunnel syndrome, developmental delay, autism, sensory issues, and syndromes.
• Expected to function as a generalist with evaluation and treatment skills across a diverse patient base.

Certifications & Requirements

• Illinois OT licensure required
• BLS certification required
• No additional certifications required

Work Environment & Schedule

• Shifts: 4 shifts of 10 hours or 5 shifts of 8 hours
• Patient scheduling is managed by a secretary based on clinical need
• No weekend or holiday work currently required
• Dress code: Black scrubs or black collared shirt with khaki pants
• Department-specific orientation provided

Patient Care Distribution (Approximate)

• Acute care: 40%
• Outpatient: 40%
• Swing bed: 10% (variable)
• Assisted living: 10% (variable)

Team Structure

• Supervised by OT Manager
• Supported by 2 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)

This role is suitable for OTs comfortable working across multiple care settings and patient types, with a flexible schedule and no current weekend or holiday requirements.
