Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVICU/Step Down Unit
Location: Urbana, Illinois
Specialty: CVICU/Step Down (Post-op CABG, Vascular, ICU patients)

Job Description
- Perform all nursing responsibilities specific to the CVICU/Step unit.
- Implement procedures and theories related to CVICU nursing care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs.
- Implement and modify plans of care through continuous evaluation.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and provide constructive feedback.
- Support professional development of peers and engage in ongoing learning.
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
- Provide direct care to CVICU patients including post-operative CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Conduct hourly rounding on patients.
- Proactively assist internal and external customers as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years relevant nursing experience.
- ASN degree required; BSN preferred.
- Illinois State RN License in good standing.
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
- ACLS (American Heart Association) certification.
