Job Details

• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

• Clinical Skills:

  • Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips

• Unit Information:

  • 32-bed flex unit (intermediate and general care)
  • Staffing ratio: 1 RN to 4 patients
  • Primary patient population includes oncology patients requiring surgical intervention and benign surgical patients
  • Patient types include ear, nose and throat, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, thoracic, and plastic surgery cases
  • Cancers treated exclude brain and lung cancers

• Scheduling:

  • Self-scheduling model
  • 3 out of 4 holidays and 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
  • 36 guaranteed work hours per week, every other week (EOW)

• Additional Requirements:

  • Must float to areas of equal or lesser care as needed
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be approved prior to confirmation; no additional time off granted during assignment
  • Work within an 80-mile radius
