Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location: Johnson, Arkansas
Facility Type: Level 3 NICU
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, every other weekend required

Qualifications & Requirements

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Licensed to practice in Arkansas
• Current certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, PALS, NRP, and ACLS
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level 3 NICU experience
• Permanent residence must be 50+ miles from the facility

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides cardiopulmonary services following approved protocols and department policies. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
• Maintaining airways and ventilator management
• Insertion of arterial lines and intubations
• Conducting pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests
• Performing blood gas analysis

Additional Information

• Position requires night shifts with every other weekend coverage
• Experience working in a Level 3 NICU setting is essential
• The role involves working with both inpatient and outpatient populations
