Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Temporary Assignment

Location: Claremont, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Setting: Medical/Surgical unit with cardiac monitoring
  • Unit Size: Very small, rural facility preferred
  • Patient Population: Newborn to Geriatric
  • RN to Patient Ratio: Typically 5:1; higher acuity PCU patients 3:1 or 4:1 (both day and night shifts)
  • Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color
  • Work Requirements:
    • Must be able to work independently and "hit the ground running"
    • Must have own vehicle for assignment
    • Facility will not consider candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
    • Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at time of application; no changes allowed after offer
    • No non-billable orientation
    • Holiday coverage required: Travelers must work one of the following holiday periods:
      • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the Friday/weekend after
      • New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day and the Friday/weekend after
    • Extensions ending before December will not be considered for extension into 2026

Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in:
    • Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
    • Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg)
    • Telemetry (Tele) — required
  • Basic dysrhythmia test must be included in profile
  • Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
  • Rural or small facility experience highly preferred

Certifications & Licenses

  • Required Certifications:
    • ACLS (AHA)
    • BLS (AHA)
  • Licensing:
    • New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license must be in-hand at submission (no pending licenses accepted)
    • New Hampshire Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required for staffing

Submission Requirements

  • Include permanent address in profile
  • Include any/all requested time off (RTO) in profile at submission
  • Cover page (optional), work history, and license/certifications must be included
  • No candidates who plan to work concurrently with another permanent or travel assignment
  • No scheduling accommodation requests (e.g., block scheduling) allowed after submission

Additional Notes

  • Call and call-back are not applicable for this assignment
  • OT and holiday multipliers apply
  • Facility is a 25-bed general medical and surgical hospital with a 24/7 emergency department in a rural community setting

This assignment is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable working independently in a small, rural hospital environment with a diverse patient population and telemetry monitoring.
