Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Hospice Care

Location: Effingham, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing and supportive care for terminally ill patients and their families/caregivers.
• Manage a caseload of up to 12 patients/caregivers.
• Identify patient and family needs related to hospice care.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse.
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Active Illinois RN License (must be current and active)
  • BLS (AHA) Certification (required)
• Specialized Experience:

  • Hospice experience is required.
  • Dedicated hospice admission experience is highly preferred.
• Additional:

  • Must provide 2 supervisory references with employment dates.
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates are not considered).

Work Details

• Caseload maximum: 12 patients.
• Territory: 50-60 mile radius for patient visits.
• Mileage reimbursed at standard IRS rate; possibility of assignment to a fleet vehicle.
• Dress code: Royal Blue Scrubs.
• EMR system used: Netsmart MyUnity.

Additional Information

• Nonbillable hours: 16 hours.
• Overtime and holiday pay at 1.25x regular rate.
• Call back pay at 1.3x regular rate.
• On-call rate available.
• Applicants who have been direct employees within the last 2 years or live within 50 miles are not eligible.
