Job Description

• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluate and provide patient/family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Facility & Shift Information

• Shifts: Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• Call coverage required during the week and weekends

Requirements

• Must hold a Tennessee RN license or a multi-state RN license
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (American Heart Association only)
• Must have knowledge of general surgery, orthopedics (including total joints), OB, GYN, and endoscopy
• Operating Room (OR) experience includes coverage of C-sections and recovery of general surgery patients with endotracheal tubes as needed
• No robotic surgery involved
• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent OR RN experience required
