Job Opportunity: Neuro Stepdown RN (Travel)

Schedule

12-hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
3-1-3 schedule (6 days on, 8 days off)
Weekend and holiday work required, including Christmas Eve or Christmas Day AND New Year's Eve or New Year's Day
No on-call, no block scheduling, no self-scheduling
First week does not have guaranteed hours

Unit Details

16 beds in the unit
Level 2 trauma hospital
Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:4
Medication system: Omnicell
Travelers will float to other stepdown units within the hospital as needed

Requirements

Mississippi RN license
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
TB and ASLS certifications preferred
Must pass a pre-assignment Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (Rhythm Strip) test with a minimum score of 80%
Must begin fingerprinting process within 48 hours of offer acceptance
Must maintain primary commitment to this contract above any other work
Complete compliance documents due 7 days before start date
Flexibility and complete availability with scheduling is non-negotiable

Additional Information

COVID vaccine and flu shot are NOT required; if declined, mask must be worn at all times except during meals
EMR system used: Epic
Orientation available weekly on Wednesdays for RNs/LPNs
Scrub color provided

This position is ideal for RNs experienced in neuro stepdown care who are flexible with scheduling and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a Level 2 trauma setting.
