Job Opportunity: IMU Registered Nurse (RN)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: IMU RN caring for a patient population with mixed med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients, neuro patients, and CVA patients.
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts ending on Saturdays.
• Orientation: Every other Monday.
• Schedule: Unit aims for 2 out of 3 weekends per month, but this may vary based on unit needs. Weekend-only requests may be considered.
• Holidays: Must be able to work 2 of 3 winter holidays. No Christmas holiday time off approved.
• Assignments: 36 or 48 hour contracts available; 13-16 week assignments only. One assignment only, no renewals.
• Locals within 60 miles are not accepted.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of work history experience; all gaps over 90 days must be explained.
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Active VA or Compact nursing license required at start.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Cerner experience preferred.
• Must submit skills checklist and copy of Nursys/license with application.
• All requested time off must be included at submission.
• COVID/Flu declinations accepted if approved.

Work Environment

• Teaching hospital setting with frequent interaction with students and new hires.
• Expected to contribute to a supportive team culture.

Additional Notes

• Client may cancel assignments up to 36 hours in advance due to census.
• Block scheduling is no longer available.
