Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech (Travel)

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Position Overview

• Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech (RN / CV Technologist / ARRT)
• Employment Type: Travel
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 7-10 hours, weekday and rotating weekends
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Floating: Required as per facility policy

Unit & Facility Information

• Unit: Cath Lab (Unit 746)
• Number of Beds: 155
• Equipment Used:

  • MacLab system (hemo monitoring, recording, measuring, documenting)
  • Volcano IVUS
  • Philips FD 20 and FD 10
• Documentation Systems: Meditech and MacLab

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years hospital experience in cardiac cath lab or related area
• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
• RCIS or RCES certification required
• BLS certification required
• Proficient in scrub assist during cardiac and electrophysiology (EP) diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Able to operate cardiac stimulator (Bloom) and use MacLab recorder system
• Experience with MacLab system for cardiac (non-EP) procedures documentation

Preferred Skills

• EP scrub experience
• Experience with cath and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Meditech documentation experience

• Cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Vascular (peripheral) diagnostic and interventional procedures
• EP scrub assist including device implantations

• Adult patients

Dress Code & Appearance Guidelines

• Facility provides scrubs (Cath Lab RN/CST scrub color)
• Nails must be clean and healthy
• Hair neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors
• Facial hair (beards, mustaches, sideburns) must be clean and neatly trimmed
• Tattoos should be covered whenever possible; uncovered body art addressed individually
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be prepared to float to other units as needed
• Strict adherence to attendance and floating policies required
